June is our month for birthdays. It has been very special and a great blessing that God has given us through the joy of being parents. We enjoy the gift of our children (Psalm 127:3)! All three of our kids were born in June and they fall in order from oldest to youngest. Doddy turned 24 on the 10th, Naomi turned 20 on the 18th and Nehemias turned 9 on the 27th.

Our sister in Christ, Vicky Rivero, from Sucre came to visit us in Tarija. It was a great blessing to have her here with us for a week. It was good to see her after so many years and we took advantage of her being here to take in some of the tourist sights that we haven’t had a chance to see yet. We went to the vineyard “Casa Vieja” and the lake San Juancinto- both are pretty places and only about 45 minutes outside of the city.
Please be praying for her and her family and for decisions that they need to make.

It is always good to make plans as a team and one thing we did this month was to go shopping (one of my favorite things!) to make up baskets of food for people we know. We also baked some cakes for people (another of my favorite things). We took what we had put together and went to visit and spend some time with them. It was incredible to see their faces full of thankfulness. We were greatly encouraged and it made me reflect on how Jesus was always focusing on the ones with needs.
