Ecuadorian Food and Christmas Decorations

Mary shares about last month in October...

We have been having soccer nights at El Camino. We watched the Bolivia/Ecuador game with the Cabrera family and invited others to come and watch the game and eat an Ecuadorian rice dish. Christian came and so did our neighbors, Ricardo, his wife Maria Isabel and their young daughters Mayra and Lara. The girls enjoyed playing and coloring with our kids.

In October we also started doing Christmas crafts, one of my favorite activities! We invited women to have tea and snacks with us and then I shared how to make some Christmas decorations. In October we had Fabiola and Natalia come and in November we had a couple more women come.

My family continues to spend time with the Moyo family (Ronald and Noemi). We spent one morning at our house preparing a delicious Ecuadorian lunch. We continue to encourage this family to persevere in the faith. Please keep this family and their marriage in your prayers.

We are very blessed to have our oldest son Doddy with us for a visit. We are so happy as parents to see him again after so long and to see for ourselves that he is well after his having Covid. He will be with us for a couple of months (during his summer break from the Bible school in Honduras) and this is a big blessing. Doddy got in contact with an old highschool friend who lives in Tarija now and his friend has come by the contact center and Doddy is spending time with him. His name is Nayer and he says he wants to bring his mom by to spend time with us as the whole family is passing through a difficult time with his parents divorcing. Pray that they seek God during this time.

God bless you all every day.
