Greetings to all! May God's blessings be with each of you.
I would like to share with you what has been happening in Tarija over the past few months and the work we are doing with families and the Church. A few months ago, we invited Lourdes Anagua and her mom along with Don Julio to prepare humitas, a traditional Bolivian dish. We used a recipe we learned in Ecuador. It was a wonderful time of fellowship with them.

On some occasions most of us have spoken to you about Don Julio Vazquez, an older man, About a month ago he became very weak in health, he lost a lot of weight and we were worried because his body was getting worse every day. I had not seen him for a while until one day I found him in a park near my house and saw he was in very bad condition. We brought him to live at the church where we have set up rooms for people to stay when they need them. Where he lives there is no water or electricity. When he was in good health he preferred his independence, but we helped were we could. When he got sick we wanted to take care of him and have him close to us. He spent some nights with the Cabrera family and some nights with us, before going to stay at the church where

he could be more independent. We took him to see a doctor and the medical prognosis for the situation in which he found himself said that it could be prostate cancer. This had him very worried, and even more me, but this also led him to meditate on his salvation and he decided to be baptized. It was very special as he means so much to us and also for us to see this 72 year old man born again. God is very good and allowed us to see this miracle of restoration in Don Julio. Shortly after this, he found out it was not cancer, but because he is still very week and in bad health, he decided to go live with his sister for awhile in another city. We were very sad to see him leave but know he wants to be with family right now.
I am very encouraged I think that God has given us this ministry with the elderly. I like that we can be useful and take care of people who, due to different circumstances, do not have people by their side to see to them.
Here are some pictures of studies we've had with people at El Camino and at church:
Please pray for us, it helps us a lot to continue persevering in our work. May God keep you all.
