Revelation and Don Julio

A couple months ago, the Sandoval's came to visit us and Fernando gave a class on Revelation. When the Tuesday ladies group that I teach was finishing up our classes on the Cross of Christ, I asked for some thoughts on what they wanted to study next. Revelation was fresh on some minds so that is what was picked.

We've been in Revelation for about 6 weeks now and are not even through chapter 4 so we are taking our time. Two new ladies have been coming and they love the group. As we go through Revelation (and other studies), my focus is to bring us into a better and deeper understanding of God and ourselves as God's children. Revelation is such an encouraging book, speaks a lot on the greatness and powerful reign of God, and I'm glad we are in it.

Thank you to all who participated in our day for prayer and fasting for Bolivia! It was encouraging to have people join us. The elections were peaceful but two candidates where to close to decide so there will be another election in October. Please continue to pray for the country and it's leaders and for people to see and understand their need for God. May all Christians be a light to the community around them

Don Julio's health has deteriorated a lot. He can no longer really walk. We were taking care of him in the church but he needed more round the clock and specialized care. We took him to the hospital but they would only accept him for a couple of days as there is nothing really they can do for him. We are trying to see about getting him into a nursing home but we have been rejected. Veronica and Ruth are going to try and see what is possible and told us we shouldn't try because people see we are foreigners and assume we have money and resources and so deny helping Julio because the resources at these places are so limited and sometimes even non. We are trying to figure out the best way of helping him and also trying to get his family, who live in other parts of the country, to help also. Please be praying for him and for us as we try to walk with him and get him the care he needs. He is tired and in pain and is ready to die and it's been hard emotionally and mentally, not to mention physically for him to be in this space.
