Encouragement and Paperwork

The team has been very fortunate to meet with some missionaries in Mexico once or twice a month. Mateo and Lina Reed have been an encouragement and support for us as a team and as individuals. They work with the Crucible Project, along with other ministries, and through their experiences and knowledge have helped us become healthier as a team and as missionaries. We just finished going through the book "The Other Half of Church" by Jim Wilder and Michel Hindricks. The book speaks a lot of how the brain works but in connection to spiritual growth and maturity. We had some great discussions as we went through the book and had some good insights for our work here. I am excited to see where we go next as we continue to meet.

I was able to get my Bolivian ID card renewed! I started the process in October. I was honestly not expecting a process at all because it has always been a simple matter in the past. The system had messed up and people had messed up my data in the system and it just took awhile to fix it. Finally in May I decided to just start going to the office every couple of days and I think that helped to get things moving. Bolivian ID's are required for all residents and are needed to do certain things, including if I wanted to travel with my girls internationally. I'm thankful I have it now and hopefully in five years when it expires again there will not be any problem.

Another paper work that I've been doing is trying to get Catalina's final adoption follow-up report to the courthouse it needs to go to. The court is in a smaller area of another States and it was hard to figure out how to get it there. I finally mailed it to a friend in Cochabamba city and she sent it by currier. Unfortunately it's been a month and still not arrived as there have been protest and roads blocked. Please be praying that the paperwork gets to the courthouse soon and that the adoption file can be closed.

I also began Cat's paperwork for US citizenship. It was a lot easier this time than for Pilar because I had already done it once, but new things always pop up. I turned it all in electronically but they are saying it could take around 17 months to process it and that is if everything is good. Please be praying for this also as it is very complicated and very drawn out.

The church was very happy when Don Julio was baptized. He is 74 and has been a part of our group here for the past 3 years. His health is declining and has since moved cities to be closer to his family. We miss him and are trying to continue to encourage him.

Please pray for Veronica, Raul and Elvira- members who are struggling. And pray that we can be a light to those around us.
