Hello to all our dear brothers, sisters and friends who take the time to read these reports. Thank you very much, we appreciate it very much. It is good to know that you are interested in what we are doing in Tarija, Bolivia.
We always have times of great spiritual struggle and also times of great joy. We rejoice when we can meet a family or young person who wants to hear the Good News of salvation, It fills our hearts so much and our hope is that God opens their hearts so that they receive the Word and are saved and begin to walk in hope.
There is a family that we have known for three years- since we arrived in Tarija. I think that in previous blogs I or someone from the team talked about them. It is the Mayari family: Raúl, Verónica are the parents and their children are: Anghelo, Mauricio, Emely, Marina, and Angelito. When Angelito was born he did not have an arm. They are a family who have been in great need and the Church and the team have done a lot of benevolence with them. Time and again we would help them with their needs, but then when they were fine we did not see them for months. We would continue looking for them and when we asked about them, they always told us that they are very busy.
A month ago their little son Angelito suffered a serious accident. He was run over by a dump truck full of construction material. Unfortunately, he lost his arm (the only one he had) and also his hip was broken and his femur was shattered. He has had to have serveral surgeries to amputate his arm and put rods in his leg. Thank God everything turned out well, thanks to the generosity of the Tarijeña people and the heart of the entire team and the Church we were able to help with the payment of the operations that was very expensive. We are happy that God took care of Angelito all this time, and we also thank God that we were able to help with the needs of this family. I ask for your prayers. We praise our Father for allowing us to be light and show the love of our beloved Jesus for his honor and glory. The team has been visiting the family and they have started to come to church every week and I am studying the Bible with them. They are realizing their need for God and how God has been with them during this time.
