Visitors

Thank you for your love and support. It means a lot to us to have you a part of this work and I hope the blog offers you a glimpse into what we do and life here in Tarija. Blessings on all of you.

Last month we were blessed to have visitors come. Fernando and Patricia Sandoval came to visit us along with an AIMer, Anwhynne, who stayed with us. We were able to host the Sandoval's in the new church building. We have set up a room for visitors and are setting up another to help those in need. Right now Don Julio is staying at the church building.

Trish's class for the women

It was great to have the Sandoval's here with us. They are so encouraging! Trish gave a class to the women about our identity and role changes and Fernando gave a class and then preached on Sunday over Revelation and the victory we have in Christ. Both classes were a blessing to the people here.

For the last two months I've been teaching the women's class on Tuesday based on the book by N.T. Wright, The Day The Revolution Began. Although I do not go as deep or long, the class has been received well as we talk about how we should live actively and transformed now in Christ and not just be waiting for heaven and how Jesus freed us from slavery to idols and what that means for us in a daily way. We've also been focusing a lot on our identity in Christ and the need for us to know who we are in Christ and live into that identify. The class has been going really well and we've had some friends of our normal group come. We moved the class to my house instead of the church building and even with the four flour walk up, I like the mood of meeting in my house as it is more of sharing life. Its also been good for Lorie who lives one floor down. She could not attend the classes when we met at the building because of her kids, but now she can come up and my girls go down so that Pilar can help watch the kids. We're both still here if they need anything and Lorie has enjoyed this time a lot.
